Barbecue Rub - DISCONTINUED

Our Barbecue Rub is the ideal seasoning for grilled pork, chicken and beef. Like most of our rubs, we recommend applying two tablespoons per pound of meat an hour or two before cooking. This rub also makes a great seasoning for homemade barbecue sauce. Add to taste to equal parts honey, ketchup and Worcestershire sauce.

Silver Cloud's Barbecue Rub contains chili powder, onion, sea salt, paprika, black pepper, cayenne pepper, cumin, celery seed, garlic, sugar and other spices. This seasoning is gluten-free.

News

Vanilla bean and extract prices have increased significantly in the last few months. This is due to a smaller than expected crop in Madagascar last Summer and high demand for the beans. Unfortunately, the crop was also smaller in some of the other producing areas, which has resulted in increased pressure on prices. While short term the news is not good, there is currently a large crop of vanilla on the vines in Madagascar that will be harvested shortly. This may lead to some price softening, but with the strong demand for beans it is hard to say how much relief we will see. We will know more later this year as the new crop of cured beans become available. Best case we do not anticipate any significant reduction before the end of the 1st quarter in 2017.
