Silver Cloud's Cancun Rub was inspired by a trip to the famous Mexican resort city. This rub is a blend of garlic, onion, cumin, paprika and other spices. It is great for grilled, chicken, pork, beef and fish. We suggest using approximately two tablespoons of Cancun Rub per pound of meat.

Dry meat rubs are an easy way to add great flavor to meat and poultry. Cancun rub is best applied directly to the meat an hour or two before cooking. It is an ideal seasoning for meats that require lengthy cooking times or grilling at high temperatures. Many professional chefs prefer using dry rubs to marinades since they do not burn as easily when cooking.

Silver Cloud's Cancun Rub contains garlic, onion, cumin paprika and other spices. This rub is salt and gluten-free.

Barbecue Rub

Silver Cloud's Barbecue Rub contains chili powder, onion, paprika, brown sugar, salt, cayenne pepper, cumin, celery seed, garlic and other spices.  This rub is wonderful on pork, chicken and beef.  Like most of our rubs, we recommend using two tablespoons per pound of meat and applying it an hour or two before you cook.  This rub also makes a great seasoning for homemade barbecue sauce.   

Beijing Rub

Beijing Rub is a favorite of many customers on grilled chicken and pork.  Add it to soy sauce and sherry wine to make a great teriyaki sauce.  To replicate the flavors found in Korean food, season equal parts soy sauce and vinegar with this rub.  Use both of these sauces as marinades for beef, chicken and shrimp.  Beijing Rub contains cayenne pepper, garlic, ginger, star anise sugar and salt.  Beijing Rub will create its own glaze when used on grilled meats. 

Cancun Rub

Inspired by a trip to the famous Mexican resort city, Cancun Rub is a blend of garlic, onion, cumin, paprika and other spices. This rub is great for grilled, chicken, beef and fish.  We suggest using approximately two tablespoons of Cancun Rub per pound of meat. 

Espresso Rub

Silver Cloud’s Espresso Rub is excellent on veal, chicken and pork.  The espresso coffee used in this rub gives it a unique flavor your family will love.  Espresso Rub contains black pepper, salt, paprika, onion, espresso coffee, cayenne pepper, sugar and other spices.     

Green Tea Rub

Silver Cloud's Green Tea Rub contains sumac, green tea, garlic, salt and other spices.  The sumac in this rub gives it a unique citrus-like flavor, which combined with the green tea compliments the natural flavors of grilled seafood, poultry and pork nicely.       

Mole Rub

Try our Mole Rub on poultry and pork or use it to season mole sauce or salsa.    Our Mole Rub contains chili powder, chocolate, sugar, salt, onion, garlic, black pepper and other spices. 

Peking Rub

A blend of nine spices, salt and sugar, Peking Rub is perfect for duck, chicken, quail and Cornish hens. Your family and friends will love this rub on barbecued ribs and flank steak.   For a great steak marinade, add our Peking Rub to equal parts ketchup, honey and Worcestershire sauce.  Peking Rub contains sugar, salt, fennel seed, coriander seed, black pepper, cloves, cinnamon, ginger and other spices.

Caribbe Rub

Inspired by the fruity and spicy flavors of the Caribbean this versatile seasoning adds wonderful flavor to vegetables and salads as well as grilled chicken, fish and pork.  Caribbe Rub contains garlic, coconut, citric acid, thyme, oregano, cloves, cayenne pepper and bay. 

Thai Rub

Thai Rub’s cilantro and lemon notes make it a great seasoning for grilled chicken, fish and pork.   Use it in soups, sauces and cold noodle salads.  Our Thai Rub contains garlic, ginger, sugar, salt, cayenne pepper, citric acid and other spices.

Whiskey Rub

Whiskey Rub is a customer favorite and contains black pepper, rosemary, Celtic grey salt, garlic and bourbon whiskey. Cover your steaks and chops liberally with this rub an hour or two before you grill.  Whiskey Rub is a real winner on grilled lamb and other red meats.

Vanilla bean and extract prices have increased significantly this year. This is due to a smaller than expected crop in Madagascar last year. This was aggravated by early picking and the vacuum packing of uncured beans. While short term the news is not good, the 2016 flowering was excellent and we anticipate a good harvest. This may lead to some price softening, but with the strong demand for vanilla we have seen it is hard to say how much relief we will see. We will know more later this year as new crop, cured beans become available. Best case we do not anticipate any significant reduction in price before the end of the 1st quarter of 2017.
